1. Who we are, and who is responsible for your data
M.O Group Auctions, ministry registration 134627, of 119 Al Tawfik Buildings — Al Tayaran St., Nasr City, Cairo, is the controller of the personal data submitted through this site.
This notice explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it, under Egyptian law 151 of 2020 on personal data protection and its executive regulation.
For any question or request about your data: info@mo-auctions.com or 010 4444 6041.
2. The data we collect
We collect only what we need to do what you asked for, and we never ask for your national ID number on this site:
When you register interest in an auction: name, mobile number, company name (for companies), email, governorate, and any notes you write.
When you order a terms booklet: name, mobile and an alternate number, the full delivery address (governorate, area, street, floor and flat, a landmark), the map coordinates if you choose to drop a pin, any notes you write for the driver, and your email if you choose to give one — it is optional, and we use it only to send you a confirmation of the order.
When you write to us or request a contracting proposal: name, company, mobile, email and the text of your message.
When you only browse: the page you visited, the time, device type, language and where you arrived from. We do not store your IP address; we turn it into an encrypted fingerprint that cannot be traced back to you, used only to tell one visitor from another when counting.
3. Why we collect it, and on what basis
To do what you asked: preparing and delivering the terms booklet to your address, answering your enquiry, and registering your interest in a specific auction.
Our legal obligations: auctions are a regulated activity, and some data — such as the national ID — may be required to establish identity in auction and title-transfer procedures.
Your consent: we only notify you about upcoming auctions if you explicitly opt in, and you can withdraw that at any time.
Our legitimate interest: measuring how many people visit the site and how its pages perform, using the encrypted fingerprint above rather than your personal data.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or use it for anything else.
4. Who we share it with
The courier or delivery company: your name, mobile and delivery address only, and solely to deliver the terms booklet.
Official bodies: where required by law or by an order from a competent judicial or regulatory authority.
The technical providers who host the site, under a contract obliging them to protect the data and not use it for their own purposes.
Beyond that, we do not share your data with any third party.
5. Cookies and measurement
The site uses only two necessary files: one that remembers the display language you chose, and a session file that protects the forms from misuse. Neither carries personal data.
Our visitor measurement is built into the site itself: it places no file on your device and does not follow you across other sites.
We may enable external measurement tools (such as Google Analytics) later. If we do, you will see a notice and a choice to accept or decline before they run.
6. How long we keep it
Booklet orders: two years from delivery, being the record of a completed, paid transaction.
Interest registrations: until one year after the related auction closes, or until you ask us to delete them.
Enquiries and contracting requests: two years from our last contact.
Visitor measurement: 24 months, and it is not attributed to you in the first place.
After that the data is deleted or stripped of anything identifying its owner.
7. Your rights over your data
At any time you may ask us to:
Show you the data we hold about you and give you a copy.
Correct anything wrong or incomplete.
Delete your data, unless a legal obligation prevents us.
Withdraw your consent to auction notifications, without affecting what happened before you withdrew it.
Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
Send your request to info@mo-auctions.com or call 010 4444 6041, and we will answer within 30 days. We may ask you to prove your identity first, for your own protection. You also have the right to complain to the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Centre.
8. How we protect your data
The site runs over an encrypted connection, and the dashboard the orders are handled from is password-protected with limited roles: each member of staff sees only what their job needs, and a leaver's account is disabled immediately.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data and is likely to harm you, we will notify you and the competent authority as the law requires.
9. This site is not directed at children
Our services are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If we learn that we have, we delete it immediately.
10. Changes to this notice
We may revise this notice whenever our services or the legal requirements change. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page, and we announce any material change on the site.
For any question about your data or about these terms, get in touch and we will answer.
